1 thing I’m NOT giving up this year

Hey hey Reader👋🏽

Happy New Year 🥂
I’m just going to jump right in and be honest with you.

I wasn’t totally sure what to write in this email. Even though I’ve been planning for the new year for a while, coming back to this list felt heavier than I expected. But transparency has always mattered to me, so here we are.

My word for 2026 is RISK.

Not reckless risk. Not burnout risk. But the kind of risk that comes from trusting myself a little more and letting my curiosity lead. It also means letting some things evolve...including how I show up in my work.

I’m slowly pivoting away from The Retire Happy Club as a single, central project. That chapter taught me so much, and I’m grateful for it. But what I’m not giving up is building income, experimenting with ideas, and creating a life that feels both sustainable and exciting.

Here’s what I’m bringing into 2026 with me:

• Learning Python (for real this time 😆)
• Learning to sew (target 36 pieces for the year)
• Moving my body daily (target 10K steps)
• Getting through the Grace Bible reading plan (i keep starting and stopping 😔)
• Actively growing my social circle (being introverted & WFH this is gonna be one of my biggest challenges)
• Building and shipping 5 apps (all of my biz mentors seem to be making this pivot with AI, so I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon lol)
• Growing my rabbitry and other side hustles

At the heart of all of this is the same thing it’s always been: learning, building, and sharing the journey as I go.

✨ A resource worth checking out

If you’re on a business, app, or side-hustle journey in 2026, I highly recommend Sage’s Sponsor Spotlight.

It’s one of the most approachable ways I’ve seen to get your offer in front of a genuinely engaged audience without needing a big ad budget or complicated setup.

Why it caught my eye:
• 9,000+ engaged subscribers
• Strong open and click rates
• Great for digital products, coaching, or affiliate links
• Perfect if you’re practicing small but brave visibility

Sage is currently running a flash sale with 75% off Sponsor Spotlights.

🔗 Check out all the details here. Use code FLASH at checkout.

If “putting yourself out there” is one of your quiet goals this year, this is a low-risk way to practice.

Before I go... what’s one thing you’re not giving up this year, even if it doesn’t fit neatly into a box? I’d genuinely love to hear. Just hit reply.

Wishing you a gentle, brave start to the year,
Robyn 💛
